Coming Together

Many low and moderate income Americans and first time homebuyers depend on the help and hope charitable downpayment assistance programs provide. If problems exist with current rules governing DPA programs, by all means let’s fix them. But these programs must remain in place so that the promise of homeownership remains a reality for the very families FHA was created to serve.


U.S. Representatives Al Green (TX-09), Gary Miller (CA-42), Maxine Waters (CA-35), and Christopher Shays (CT-4) have come together to reauthorizes and reforms charitable downpayment assistance by introducing bill H.R.6694. View the bill text for H.R.6694 here
